Investigation of the reaction pp → YY close to threshold at lear

Abstract For the reaction p p → Λ Λ from threshold up to 1.7 GeV c total and differential cross section data, polarisations and spin correlations have been obtained. The data indicate a remarkably strong p-wave contribution even close to the reaction threshold. The Λ Λ spin correlations are compatible with a pure triplet state.
