The Zhuxian Town Woodcut Paintings are the originator of Chinese New Year’s pictures, which were put up on walls and doors and sometimes on the windows when the Chinese lunar new year in China in the past. They developed in the Song Dynasty, flourished in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Today, they not only become a part of interior decoration, but also become a unique art form of Chinese traditional painting, which is a unique art form of Chinese traditional painting. This thesis introduced The Woodcut Paintings of Zhuxian Town, historical evolution of the Zhuxian Town Woodcut Paintings: the background of origin, development, peak, and present situation, the characteristics and technology of Zhuxian Town Woodcut Paintings, the features of colors, and analysis of the ingredients of Chinese traditional medicine for making pigment. This thesis also Researches on the Characteristic of The Woodcut Paintings of Zhuxian Town.
