Follow-up Visit Group-keeping and Its Influencing Factors in MSM in Mianyang

Objective To understand the rate of follow-up visit group-keeping for MSM group.Method Totally 356 eligible targets(HIV negative) were employed to establish the follow-up visit group with the method of RDS in Mianyang.The follow-up research was conducted one year later and it also analyzed the relationship between demographic characteristics,preventive services,social activity networks,sexuality,and the rate of group-keeping.Result The rate of group-keeping was 43.5%,The variables which give statistical significance to the result of multi-factor analysis and the rate of group-keeping are: income(OR=2.019-5.937,95%CI=1.019-14.353),length of local residence(OR=3.703,95%CI=1.041-13.174),participation by introduction(OR=0.100-0.271,95%CI=0.015-0.829),HIV testing within one year range(OR=2.683,95%CI= 1.490-4.830),acquaintance with bar sexual partners in recent 6 months(OR=2.477,95%CI=1.213-5.060),and education of HIV knowledge and information from the consulting services(OR=2.202,95%CI=1.033-4.692),accept peer education in nearly one year(OR=2.199,95%CI=1.195-4.048).Conclusion The rate of group-keeping was affected by demographic patterns,social activity networks,partner type in seeking,and,impact from HIV preventive services.Strategies for improvement should be more adaptive in the future.
