Experimental study on the anti-allergic effect of Zidianling mixture

OBJECTIVE To study the effects and pharmacological mechanism of Zidianling(ZDL) mixture on anti-Ⅰ-type-allergy.METHODS The effects of anti-Ⅰ-type-allergy and anti-allergy agents on experiment animals of ZDL in different doses were observed by passive cutaneous anaphylaxis and guinea pig ileum models.And the influence of ZDL on IgG level in guinea pigs serum was also observed in the experiment after administered by gastric lavage.RESULTS ZDL dose-related depressed Ⅰ-type-allergy in guinea pigs,and ZDL 20 g·kg-1 and 10 g·kg-1 orally had significant inhibitory effect on passive cutaneous anaphylaxis in guinea pigs.ZDL dose-dependently inhibited the contraction of isolated ileum excited by histamine phosphate(P0.01).Contraction inhibility in the high dosage group was about 92%,ZDL reduced serum IgG concentration in guinea pigs as compared with the controls.CONCLUSION ZDL has a significant anti-Ⅰ-allergic effect,which may be related to the inhibition of histamine and reduction of IgG concentration.
