Efficient Algorithms for Aerosol Retrieval from GCOM-C/SGLI

The second generation global imager (SGLI) is onboard the Japanese Global Change Observation Mission-Climate (GCOM-C) (SHIKISAI in Japanese) satellite launched on December 23rd in 2017. The SGLI has multiple channels (19) including near-UV and polarization channels in the red and near-IR wavelengths. It is shown in this work that the advantages of SGLI near-UV measurements are effective for aerosol classification.
