Einfluss der Blütenausdünnung sowie der Exposition der Blütenstände auf qualitative und quantitative Parameter bei Holunder (Sambucus nigra)

1998
Two different flower cluster thinning methods were compared to an untreated control. Each variant comprises ten trees. Four samples were taken from each tree (north, east, south and west). Besides colorimetric investigations titratable acidity, pH-value, suspended acids, cluster weight and yield per tree were investigated. The results were evaluated by means of variance analysis. Between the three variants significant differences could be found with suspended acids, pH-value and yield. The hoped-for increasing of color did not occur. Considerable differences (L * -, a * -, b * -value and suspended acids) also could be found between the expositions. Flower cluster thinning of the western and northern side could increase the average values of color.
