Width of the 6.20 MeV, Jπ = 1−, level of 18O

Abstract The width of the 6.20 MeV, J π = 1 − state of 18 O has been measured using a resonance fluorescence self-absorption technique. For a ground state branching ratio, Γ 0 Γ = 0.88, one finds Γ 0 = 180 ± 30 meV. The energy of this state was determined to be 6202.7 ± 0.8 keV.
