Епізоотологічні особливості, удосконалення діагностики та профілактики герпесвірусних інфекцій першого та другого типів у коней

The thesis is devoted to the improvement of diagnostic methods and prevention of herpes infection of first and second type of horses. The research was conducted on 1301 horses. It was determined that infectious activity of EVH 1 Zhand EVH 2 TC strains, frozen and stored at the temperature of –18°C, does not reduce during the period of 18 and 12 months respectively. For antigen preservation of EVH 1 та EVH 2 types, it is the most optimal merthiolate content of 0,01 % with 0,1 cm3/1 cm3of antigen. The contamination ofhorses of EVH 1 та EVH 2 types was detected in pedigree stock-breedings of Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Khmelnitsky and Lugansk regions, and the level of horse infection was determined in problem stud farms during the period of 2007–2011. It was defined that the individual taking of medicines Biomin P.E.P. and Mikofiks Plus has positive impact on the physiological condition of mares and foals.
