Asymptomatic Carotid Stenosis in Peripheral Vascular Disease

It is well established that patients presenting with symptomatic atherosclerotic disease in a particular region of the arterial tree may be suffering from symptomatic disease at other sites. Improvements in diagnostic techniques have now allowed for the detection of asymptomatic disease in these patients at high risk of cardiovascular events.
