Performance of beam monitors used at a beam transport system of HIMAC

Total 35 beam monitors have been installed along high energy beam transport lines of a heavy ion medical facility, HIMAC, of NIRS. They are able to monitor beam profiles and intensities at a wide range of beam intensity from 1×1011 pps to a few thousands pps. A computer specially designed for real time operation of industrial processes is in use for controlling the monitors. Totally the beam monitor system is easy to handle, and has a good performance.
