Erosive-Resistance of Plasma Sprayed Coatings

Cr 3C 2/NiCr、ZrO 2/NiCr、WTiC 2/NiCr and X40 were plasma sprayed onto the substrate 1Cr18Ni9Ti in order to solve the erosive problem at high temperature encountering at oil refining industry.A series of properties of the coatings have been tested including their microstructure,hardness,and erosive behavior.The tested results show that,there is a remarkable relationship between the erosive resistant behavior and the property,among which hardness and toughness are the most two important factors.Good erosive resistant materials Cr 3C 2/NiCr,which is very hard and tougher,are quite ideal;while X40,which is not too hard but very tough,has very good erosive resistance.
