Feeding Preference of Brithys crini Fabricius (Lepidoptera:Noctuidae) Larvae to Host Plants and Plant Parts

Taking Zephyranthes candidaand Spinaciao leraceaas host materials,the preferences of larvae of Brithys crini(Fabricius)(Lepidoptera:Noctuidae)to different host plants and host plant parts the preferenes insect-damaged leaves and undamaged leaves,and the preferences to different organs of Zephyranthes candida were studied,in order to provide technical referance for effectively control the insects.The results showed at 0.5,1.0,1.5and 2.0h,larvae significantly selected Zephyranthesc andidaover Spinaciao leracea;at 0.5,1.0,1.5and 2.0h,larvae selected insect-damaged leaf over undamaged leaf.But no significance between insect-damaged and undamaged leaf groups;larvae was biased toward flower firstly,and larvae preferred pedicel and leaf to corm.It indicated larvae of Brithys crini preferred tender organs of Zephyranthes candida.
