COMPARISON AND APPLICATION OF MULTIPLEX PCR AND SINGLE PCR TECHNIQUE FOR THE RAPID DETECTION METHOD OF INFLUENZA VIRUS

2010
[Objective] To establish rapid detection technology of multiplex PCR to isolate H1, H3 subtypes of influenza A and influenza B, and compare the technology with single PCR. [Methods] H1 and H3 subtypes of influenza A and influenza B were used to design primers. Multiplex PCR amplification and electrophoresis were performed, and its result was compared with that detected by single-PCR. [Results] The multiplex PCR can detect three types of influenza viruses at the same time within 4 hours, but time was shorter than the single PCR, and the specificity and the sensitivity was similar to single PCR. [Conclusion] The detection system based on multiplex PCR was accurate, sensitive and specificity, which could be used rapidly to detect result.
