Nucleophilic trifluoromethylation of aromatic aldehydes and ketones with trifluoromethyltrimethylsilane is initiated with KF/n-Bu 3 MeN + HSO - 4 /Ph 3 SnF cocatalytic system in CH 2 Cl 2 or with K[Ph 3 SnF 2 ] in DMF.
