A Design of Leaky-Wave System for the High-Speed Rail in the Vacuum Tube

High-speed rail in vacuum tube is a new type of rail transportation technology, which has super high speed and requires low-latency and high-stability requirements for vehicle-ground wireless communication systems. Therefore, the wireless free wave method in the communication system of the traditional rail is not suitable in the scene of high-speed rail in vacuum tube, which will cause serious Doppler effect. In this paper, a leaky wave system is adopted to suppress the Doppler effect and achieve the uniform near-field distribution in the vacuum tube. The simulated results show that the leaky waveguide can radiate electromagnetic waves perpendicular to the running direction of the train, and its electric field strength and phase are uniformly distributed.
