Análisis de la Estructura Interna de la Escala de las Áreas de la Vida Laboral (AWS) en Docentes de Escuelas Públicas de Lima

espanolEl objetivo fue examinar la estructura interna de la Escala de las Areas de la Vida Laboral (AWS) en 311 docentes peruanos de educacion basica (63.7% mujeres; Medad=46.75) de instituciones estatales. La estructura interna del AWS fue evaluada mediante el Analisis Factorial Confirmatorio (CFA) y el Modelamiento de Ecuaciones Estructurales Exploratorio (ESEM), y la confiabilidad del constructo fue estimada con el coeficiente ω. Los resultados del CFA y ESEM indicaron que la estructura de seis dimensiones no presenta evidencia suficiente debido a la presencia de cargas factoriales entre bajas y moderadas, ademas de la presencia de un factor de metodo asociado a items invertidos. La magnitud de la confiabilidad (ω) evidencio baja representatividad de algunos items respecto a las dimensiones que evalua el AWS. Se discute los hallazgos y las implicancias sobre la utilidad de la Escala de las Areas de la Vida Laboral en docentes de educacion basica EnglishThe goal of this study was to analyze the internal structure of the Areas of Worklife Scale (AWS) in a sample of 311 Peruvian elementary school teachers (63.7% women; Mage=46.75) from State Institutions. The internal structure was evaluated through Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Exploratory Structural Equation Modeling (ESEM), reliability was obtained through ω coefficient. The CFA and ESEM results indicated that the expected six dimension structure was not confirmed due to low or moderate factorial loads and the presence of a factor method associated with reverse-coded items. The magnitude of reliability (ω) shows low representativeness of some items in the evaluated dimensions of the AWS. Findings and implications about the utility of the Areas of Worklife Scale in elementary school teachers are discussed
