Scattered Wave Deception Jamming Against Squint SAR Using Frequency Diverse Array

2020
This paper proposes a scattered wave deception jamming method against the squint synthetic aperture radar (SAR) based on frequency diverse array (FDA). A slight frequency increment compared with the carrier frequency is applied across the FDA elements to generate multiple false targets. Moreover, by utilizing a cooperative network of multiple receivers and the jammer, we adopt the scattered wave jamming to generate the spurious scenes or targets in the squint SAR. Finally, we derive the chirp scaling (CS) algorithm for the squint SAR imaging under the FDA jamming signals. The simulation results show that the jamming signal is synthesized successfully and multiple false targets can be visually displayed on the SAR 2-D imaging result, therefore the effectiveness and feasibility of the method are demonstrated.
