A (π+, K+) experiment at KEK and the superconducting kaon spectrometer

At KEK 12 Gev proton synchrotron, an experimental program to explore the hypernuclear studies by (π+, K) reaction has been recently initiated. A new superconducting kaon spectrometer (INS−SKS) which is suitable to carry out the good resolution (1–2 MeV energy resolution) (π+, K+) spectroscopy is now under construction. (AIP)
