Trentepohlia jolithus (L.) WALLROTH 1833 (Chlorophyta, Ulvophyceae) in subaerial habitats from southeastern Spain

2002
Trentepohlia jolithus (L.) WALLROTH was collected from a wet wall in southeastern Spain and studied by light and scanning electron microscopy. In summer months was observed the existence of a dormant stage of cells very rich in carotenoids and with very wide sheaths. This probably cosmopolitan species has not been previously reported in Spain.
