Bacterial luciferase was linked with the electrochemically induced electron transport system, involving the dπ∗ triplet state tris(2,2′-bipyridine)ruthenium(II) and N,N′-dimethyl-4,4′-bipyridinium (MV2+), within a Nafion membrane.
