The additional identifications of the genus Ametastegia Costa (Hymenoptera: Tenthredinidae: Allantinae) fauna in Korea

ABSTRACT The genus Ametastegia Costa, 1882 were studied. Eight species are recorded for the first time in Korean fauna: A. acutiserrula Wei, 1999, A. cheni (Wei 2003), A. geranii (Takeuchi 1929), A. longicornis (Takeuchi 1929), A. nigroclypea Wei, 2003, A. sinica Wei, 1998, A. tenera (Fallen 1808), and A. tibialis Wei, 2003. The males of A. longicornis and A. tibialis are first discovered and described. A key to the 10 Korean Ametastegia species along with diagnoses, variation, photographs of the diagnostic characters, distribution, and recorded hosts for each species are provided.
