Novel Groove-type Magnetic Sensor Array for Current Measurement

The non-invasive current measurement is critical in many areas. Abundant studies have researched coreless magnetic sensor array due to its outstanding advantages. However, most of them focused on circular arrays in which case the calculation is more convenient because of symmetry. In certain situations, the circular arrays are difficult to wrap around the conductor, which will make the measurement impossible. Thus a new structure needs to be found to overcome the difficulties. In this paper, a novel groove-type magnetic sensor array model is proposed to do the measurement for area-effective requirement. The array uses TMR chips as its sensors. The effectiveness of the model is verified by theoretical analysis and simulation.
