Remote Sensing Interpretation and Characteristics of Basin-controlling Faults of Neopaleozoic Oil and Gas-bearing Basin in Middle Part of Guangxi

2007
In the Neopaleozoic sedimnentry basin in the middle part of Guangxi, the source-reservoir-cap rocks are developed entirely and oil and gas evidences distributed widely, presenting good prospective oil and gas basin of reservoirs-generation.Comprehensive analysis of regional datum, geological investigation in fields and interpretation with remote sensing indicates that, the formation, development and evolution of this oil and gas bearing basin are restricted by several faults. Those basin-controlling faults are mainly Yizhou-Dongquan arc like fault zone,Yongfu-Laibin fault zone,Nandan-Du′an fault zone,Tongmu-dongxiang fault zone,Damingshan-Laibin-Xiangzhou fault zone. All those faults, affected by basemental structures, acted by other plates and impacted by different tectonic movements, show respective features in the course of basin evolution.
