Sex Determination Analysis from Tibia of Macaca Mulatta in the Taihang Mountains

2006
The role of tibia variables of Macaca mulatta in the Taihang Mountains in the sex determination was studied.Eight tibia variables of twenty samples(8♂?12♀) were measured and carried out on the SPSS 10.0 for Windows by One-way ANOVA and sex discriminant analysis of multiple variables.Statistical result showed that there was sexual difference in all measurements(P 0.05).2 discriminant functions of tibiae were constructed by means of Stepwise method and Enter independents together. The discriminant rate ranged from 95.0% to 100%.There was some practical significance to discriminate sexes by using the tibiae of Macaca mulatta.
