Cutaneous diseases in Asians

2003
According to the US Census 2000, Asian Americans comprise 4.2% of the United States population. There has been little research performed into the incidence of skin disease in the sizeable Asian community in the United States. As a result, much of the information contained in this article is derived from the handful of articles addressing specific skin conditions in Asians and from peer and personal experiences. To the authors' knowledge, this is the first review in the English literature that describes the clinical overview of cutaneous diseases in Asians.
