Monitoreo satelital de la adopción de Agricultura de Conservación Satelital monitoring of adoption of Conservation Agriculture

2013
Agricultural activities in the state of Guanajuato have caused soil erosion. Conservation Agriculture (AC) is promoted by various governmental and civil and deterioration of soil solution. In 2010 we conducted a study to estimate the cultivated area in AC during the spring-summer (PV) and the results showed 14,9% of area in BC, and the rest in Traditional Agriculture (AT). The present study is a continuation of the previous analysis. The methodology consisted of preparing a Landsat satellite image 7ETM +, drawn of agricultural area from the image, field sampling in four municipalities, supervised classification (CS) using the maximum likelihood method, the accuracy of the CS was measured with the kappa and the error matrix and also calculation of area under AC. The estimated area for PV AC 2012 was compared with that obtained in 2010, observing an increase in AC surface of 23,01% between 2010 and 2012. Moreover, 31,3% of the area in AC in 2010, was grown in AT in 2012. The study showed good accuracy in 2012 and a significant increase in the adoption of AC.
