Using saccharidic polymer bearing carboxyl groups to harm reduction of cellulose-containing material by the presence of complexes of transition metal reinforcing bleaching during the bleaching treatment of cellulose-containing material, wherein saccharidic polymer bearing carboxy groups is selected from alginate, pectin, pectinate and mixtures of at least two thereof.
