New type of reflection-transmission holograms obtained using mirror photolayers

1976
A new holographic process is considered. It involves recording of the interference pattern of a superposition of standing waves formed as a result of interaction between the object and reference beams incident on and reflected by a mirror-like surface. The result of this interaction is a new type of reflection-transmission hologram. This process provides the simplest and most favorable conditions for the formation of standing waves with minimum possible requirements in respect of the coherence of the light sources and rigidity of holographic apparatus.
