Efficacy of concurrent chemoradiotherapy combined with ntutuzumab on locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma

2019
Objective To study the effect of concurrent radiotherapy and chemotherapy combined with nitozumab on locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Methods A total of 46 patients with locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma admitted to the Cancer Center of the Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Medical University from January 2015 to October 2017 were selected.According to the treatment method, the patients were divided into control group and observation group, with 23 cases in each group. The control group was treated by concurrent radiotherapy and chemotherapy, while the observation group was treated with nituzumab on the basis of the treatment of the control group. The treatment effects and the incidences of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The short-term effective rates of nasopharyngeal carcinoma primary leison and cervical lymph node in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P 0.05). Conclusions The concurrent chemoradiotherapy combined with nitozumab in the treatment of locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma is helpful to improve the short-term efficacy. Although it can not reduce the adverse reactions, it is helpful to control the process of the lesion and improve the quality of life of the patients. Key words: Locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma; Concurrent chemoradiotherapy; Ntutuzumab; Adverse reactions
