Rapid Screening of Pharmaceutical Substances for the Total Content of F, Cl, Br, and S Containing Organic Compounds

A fast direct method for determination of the total content of F-, Cl-, Br-, and S-containing organic compounds in pharmaceutical substances is developed. The method is based on direct oxidative hightemperature conversion and analysis of the whole absorbate volume by ion chromatography. Detection limits are 2 × 10–6–4 × 10–6% depending on the element at a sample mass of 1 mg.
