portuguesA Arte Esquematica Pintada em Portugal sido objecto de estudo por parte da arqueologia desde finais do seculo XIX. Neste artigo pretende-se dar uma visao geral e sucinta sobre estas investigacoes bem como fazer um ponto de situacao das importantes descobertas realizadas nas ultimas decadas que vieram aumentar substancialmente o numero de sitios ate entao conhecidos. Realizou-se uma primeira abordagem de amplo espectro, reflectindo de forma mais aprofundada sobre alguns sitios, discutindo-se cronologias funcionalidades e origens. EnglishThe Schematic Painted rock art of Portugal has been part of the archaeological research since the end of the nineteenth century. In this article we aim to give a brief and general overview of these investigations as well as a state of art of the latest discoveries that have substantially increased the number of sites previously known. Attempting a first method of broad range analysis we intended to reflect more deeply on a limited number of sites discussing chronologies, functionalities and origins of this expression.
