La biblioteca, agent de canvi i millora de l'escola.

catalaL’article estableix la funcio de la biblioteca escolar en un moment de canvis en el mon educatiu. Planteja els nous rols que la biblioteca pot jugar en aquest context, les condicions imprescindibles perque puga dur a terme aquestes noves funcions i els impactes que pot tenir en els aprenentatges el fet de disposar d’una biblioteca escolar de qualitat. Es destaca la contribucio de la biblioteca en l’adquisicio de competencies mediatiques i en informacio per part de l’alumnat i en la promocio dels habits lectors, aixi com el paper en altres aspectes com la compensacio de desigualtats socials. Finalment, s’analitza com una biblioteca escolar de qualitat pot contribuir al canvi educatiu i a la transformacio de l’escola per la seua condicio de centre de recursos i la seua transversalitat. EnglishThe article determines the role of the school library in a moment of change in the educational world. It presents the roles that libraries can play in this context, the conditions that are needed to carry on new functions, and the impacts that a quality school library can have in the learning process. The article also stresses the contribution of the library to the acquisition of media competence and information for the student body. Similarly, it makes reference to its role in the encouragement of reading habits and its significance for the compensations of social inequalities. Finally, it analyzes how a quality school library can contribute to educational change and to the transformation of the school since it is a centre of resources and transversality.
