Are Engineering students decreasing? Spain study case

2011
In Universities and other academic organizations have been saying that the number of students in Engineering masters and grades have been reduced. That means that fewer people will be working as engineers in the future. This is a fact that has alarmed Education Societies and Engineering Associations all over the world. Some reasons could be extracted from some loss of motivation when student looks at a difficult career, in spite of promising great labor expectations exposed from the Society. However, in this paper, some data are offered to change minds about this question, in particular in the case os Spain. Through the article, some figures have been used to get some conclusions in which demographic statistics, students' decisions and University published information could give an answer to the question, why do students demand other nonengineering careers? Is this true or just a myth?
