Influencia de la religiosidad en las actitudes y el consumo de alcohol en adolescentes y jóvenes

Introduction. The purpose of the study was to analyze the inluence of religiosity and attitudes on alcohol consumption in high school students. Material and method . Quantitative, cross-sectional and correlational study and predictive. Stratiied sample of 243 teenagers and youth, the instruments used were; Scale of Attitudes and Habits of Alcohol Consumption, Inventory of Religiosity and Questionnaire for the Identiication of Alcohol Consumption Disorders (AUDIT). The data was processed in SPSS version 20.0. Non-parametric tests and binary logistic regression models were used.  Results. It was identiied that 51,4% (95% CI/ ,45-,57) of young people have consumed alcohol in the last year, 24,2% (95% CI/ ,18-,29) reported excessive consumption, predictive efects of religiosity (β = -,028, p <,001) and the negative attitudes of alcohol (β = -,064, p <,001) on alcohol consumption in adolescents and young people. Conclusion . Religiosity and negative attitudes about alcohol negatively inluence alcohol consumption. Considering religious needs when considering prevention and care in adolescents and young people is important, since the beliefs and expectations of the experience of the religious have efects on physical well-being and healthy lifestyles.
