[Fetal death in multiple pregnancy--implications for obstetrics and literature review].

1992
: Due to routinely and skilled ultrasound examinations during pregnancy the diagnosis of a single intrauterine loss in twin pregnancy is increasingly found. This report demonstrates two cases of twin gestation complicated by the death of one fetus, presented as a fetus papyraceus. Supported by the recent literature, intensive observation and care leaded to spontaneous delivery near term of the healthy surviving twins. In such cases conservative obstetrical management is recommended.
