DECORO, BELEZA E EURRITMIA

2020
In the first architectural treatise that has reached the present day, Vitruvio postulates rules for achieving beauty in architecture, deconstructing the architectural elements (usually in temples) to arrive at what he considered the essence of beauty. It starts from rationality (symmetry) and develops into theories that turn to subjective dimensions, such as eurythmy, while considering external conditions, including the subject's perception when contemplating the object. Symmetry and eurythmy, in this sense, are complementary to achieve the beauty.
