Abstract Tumor lysis syndrome (TLS) is a medical emergency, which requires prompt recognition and immediate therapy to avoid poor patient outcomes. Certain cancers portend a higher risk for TLS and should receive particular attention. In this chapter, we review the essential features of TLS and focus on preventive and therapeutic strategies.
