The invention relates to a natural skin whitening and protecting composition and an application thereof in cosmetics. The composition comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 1-9% of pomegranate pericarp extracts, 1-8% of extracts from pueraria, 1-9% of paeonol, 1-10% of radix angelicae extracts, 1-7% of white willow extracts, 1-9% of meadowfoam seed oil, 1-7% of cajeput oil, 0.5-6% of resveratrol, 0.5-7% of extracts of Lilium candidum, 0.5-8% of anthemis nobilis flower extract, 1-6% of white birch oil, 1-9% of Bletilla root extracts, 0.5-6% of flower extracts from white plumeria rubra, 1-6% of gardenia oil, 1-8% of extracts from Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae root, 1-9% of common perilla extracts, 1-7% of nymphaea alba extracts, and 1-10% of pearl extracts. The additive amount of the composition in cosmetics is 5-8wt%. The composition provided by the invention has a remarkable whitening effect, can be used as an additive and is stably added into various cosmetics, and is natural, green and safe.
