Oil mass calculating method based on point cloud data

The invention discloses an oil mass calculating method based on point cloud data, relates to the fields of data processing and three-dimensional visualization, and invents a method which automatically calculates the volume of remaining oil mass in an oil tank in real time based on the point cloud data obtained by three-dimensional laser scanning equipment. The point cloud data obtained by the laser scanning equipment are preprocessed to obtain the real-time oil level height and the oil tank shape volume which are composed of point cloud data, and then the volume of the remaining oil mass in the oil tank is calculated. The set of complete data processing and oil mass calculation method is designed to monitor oil mass rapidly and accurately in real time, the method is not affected by changes of oil volume along with temperature, and rapid and reliable bases and means are provided for managing and dispatching an oil warehouse.
