Ozonized sunflower oil (OLEOZON fi ) has excellent germicidal properties (germicidal, fungicidal, virusidal, and antiparasitary) and it is very useful in the treatment of infectious diseases. The validation of a spectropho- tometric method for the determination of aldehyde content in OLEOZONfi is presented in this work. The method is based on the formation of 2,4- dinitrophenylhidrazones of aldehydes, followed by the measurement of the absorbance at 338 nm.
