Memorialmassnahmen-Die Wittenberger Schlosskirche im frühen 16. Jahrhundert

2008
A study of the role of the church in the castle of Elector Frederick the Wise in Wittenberg, Germany, in the early 16th century. On the basis of a reconstruction of the inventory, the writer traces the history of the church's furnishing, connecting the facts in a cause-and-effect chain to reveal an new conceptualization of the furnishing as a series of historically linked actions in the broadest sense. His study follows the historic events that took place in Wittenberg from 1489—when the church's construction began—to 1546–50.
