Effect of depression after acute stroke for the neural function recovery

Objective: To discuss the effect of depression after acute stroke for the neural function recovery. Methods: 60 cases of depression patients with acute stroke were treated after 1 month and 3 months, the functional rehabilitation were evaluated; another 60 cases in gender, age, disease, cultural degree, treatment of acute cerebral apoplexy comparable as control group. Results: After treatment of 1 month and 3 months, there were significant differences on the neurologic deficits symptoms and the daily life ability in two groups (all P0.05). Conclusion: Depression of acute stroke plays an important role on affecting the neural function and the daily life ability rehabilitation.
