Overcurrent Limitation for Digital Peak Current Mode DC-DC Converter

Digital control techniques have been attracted in renewable energy systems. The aim of this paper is to present an overcurrent limitation for the digital peak current mode dc-dc converter. Since the existing function in the regulation mode is applied, the proposed overcurrent limitation is the simple configuration. The proposed method can detect the overcurrent in real time and it is possible to maintain an arbitrary current in the overcurrent limitation mode. The proposed overcurrent limitation mode is implemented by the field-programmable gate array (FPGA). The effectively of proposed method are confirmed by both of simulated and experimental results.
