The Design and Development Strategy of Shanghai Lilong Query and Analysis System (SLQAS)

The Shanghai Lilong is typical representative of regional characteristics residence in China, but its preservation and renewal is faced with challenges in the current urban development. After analyzing the requirement of urban managers and the general public, we build a basic database of more than 6,000 Lilongs historical data and more than 200 blocks' status data. Furthermore, this article discuss the design of Shanghai Lilong Query and Analysis System (SLQAS) based on GIS. The functions of SLQAS are information query, reconstruction and monitoring, basic analysis etc. SLQAS will improve the functions of virtual simulation, customized development in the future, which will provide great significance for protection and inheritance of non-material cultural heritage in China.
