Offshore Wind Structures

This chapter considers structural health monitoring (SHM) for offshore structures from a general system level. Offshore structures are subject to static and dynamic loads and their influence will be outlined. Structural integrated sensor and measurement systems are used to monitor load distribution and enable lifetime prognosis of the structures. The latest state of the art related to sensor and measurement systems and SHM systems are given.
