The Web Services research team of LAMSADE worked during the last few years at proposing techniques for developing Internet services-based applications, considering non-functional properties, such as transactional properties, execution time, and other quality of service properties. We have defined a model to formalize transactional properties of services. Based on this, we have proposed new approaches to optimize the quality of service of the transactional composite service. We have also tackled the service execution problem, and have defined a model to support self-healing (automatic failure detection and recovery) composite service executions while maintaining QoS requirements in presence of failures.
