The concept of weighted average had been put forward for bi-material CT specimen, namely of bi- material CT specimen could be calculated by the weighted average for homogeneous basemetal and weldmetal respectively, then a function for estimation of bi-material CT specimen had been advanced based on ASTM E1457. At last, plenty of finite element analytical calculations had been carried out for the creep crack parameter of bi-material CT specimen with crack in the weldment interface, and the applicability of the project estimation method had been validated through technical example.
