Embodiments of the invention relate to a lithium secondary battery, comprising a non-aqueous electrolyte and a positive electrode active material, a nonaqueous electrolytic solution containing phosphoric acid ester compound represented by the following formula (1): O = P (O-R1) (O-R2) (O-R3) (1), wherein R1, R2 and R3 are each an alkyl group or other group containing an ether bond represented by -R4-O-R5 (R4 represents an alkylene group, R5 represents an alkyl group), and R1, R2 and R3 is a group containing at least one ether bond, and R1, R2 and R3 contains at least one fluorine and the cathode active material with respect to lithium 4.5V or more discharge regions.
