A Resistive Transition between the Normal and Superconducting State of BaNi2P2 Single Crystals

2008
Transport properties have been investigated for the single crystals of the nickel-based phosphide with the ThCr 2 Si 2 structure, BaNi 2 P 2 which have been prepared by high pressure synthesis method. It has been proved that BaNi 2 P 2 is a rather conventional type II superconductor, which is an important clue to clear the high temperature superconductivity of the hole-doped A Fe 2 As 2 ( A =Ba, Sr, and Ca) that have the same crystal structure.
