Percutaneous Approach of Renal Cysts
2016
Abstract The serous cyst of the kidney is a benign tumor, characterized by the presence of a cavity filled with serous fluid, which does not communicate with the collecting system, having a wall composed of fibrous tissue, lined by a flat cuboidal epithelium and which can compress the adjacent renal parenchyma. The interventional treatment of simple cysts is indicated either when they are symptomatic or complicated, or if the imaging explorations raise the suspicion of an associated tumor pathology.
